 This is like a chicken farm or a prison. No, chickens are closer to each other in the poultry farm, so it’s still better, and the prison must be sitting face-to-face (in the TV drama scene), so it’s still human. Do NHK people eat quietly like this?

What does it mean to sit in an L-shape and have a meal in a dining room instead of facing each other? Do you sit in an L shape and don’t see each other’s faces while eating?
